Meg Hutchinson

Nominated for a Boston Music Award in April, 2001 for “Best Debut Singer Songwriter Album”.
Recipient of the 2000 New Folk Award at Kerrville Folk Festival, and performer at the Rocky Mountain Folk Fest in Colorado and the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival in NY. Hutchinson describes her songwriting style as “lyric-based, acoustic-folk, pop, barn-raising with perhaps too much idealism and maybe a touch of the real sad blues”. Meg has shared the stage with renowned artist such as Odetta, Patty Larkin, Steve Forbert, Rory Block, Lucy Kaplansky, and Dan Bern. Hutchinson’s new release “Against the Grey” is hailed by critics as a lush moody song cycle.

Alexis d
Passionate, engaging, hopeful, intelligent... this is not your
grandmother's folk music. Alexis d writes and performs folk music for a
generation raised on rock to reggae, world to hip hop. This folk music
draws on all of those forms, morphs them together and makes something new
and exciting... folk music for a new generation. She has opened for
Patty Larkin and the Nields; performed at Cafe Lena, The Eighth Step,
Java Joe's in Des Moines, Iowa, Fire and Water in Northampton, MA, SolarFest in Vermont along with Moxy Früvous, Vance Gilbert, and Harmonytrix, and at a number of regional coffeehouses.
Laura Wood

Indiegrrl Records Recording Artist, guitarist and percussionist, studied music at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, vocal jazz at the University of Massachusetts, percussion in NY with Harry Belefonte’s percussionist, and classical guitar in Belgium. At age 19, she began her musical career at Caffe Lena' and has since backed many well-known musicians such As Richie Havens, Country Joe MacDonald, Leah Kunkel (Mama Cass’ sister), Joel Zoss (Bonnie Raitt writer), Erica Wheeler and the Story.
She’s back in town for a return performance just after her newly released and long awaited CD “South Station Slide”.
Victoria Bouffard
Victoria was featured in a December 1998 Cellar Stage performance at the
Eighth Step in Albany, NY, and selected as a Rising Star performer for
Caffe Lena's 1999 Homecoming Weekend in Saratoga Springs. She is an
occasional host of Open Stage at the Eighth Step Coffeehouse at Cohoes Music
Hall. A Lowen & Navarro song featuring Victoria Bouffard will be released on
a compilation CD this spring by WPYX in Albany. Victoria has appeared with
Ellis Paul, Lowen & Navarro, and Peter Mulvey.
Corley Roberts

Singer songwriter, radio personality, and Producer of the Fabu Records All Girl Music Revue, Corley performs regularly here in NY and in Nashville, where she now resides. Currently wrote and produced the theme song "Once Again" for Fountainhead Pictures feature film "Judgement Time", and is writing the soundtrack and score for "Murphy's Law", both due out in the fall of 2001. Corley licensed her CD “Me” last year to Oxygen Media, a television network co-founded by Ophra Winfrey, and received Critics Choice Best Local Album, Metroland’s Best Of 1999 in Albany, NY. Corley, also an exercise physiologist, founded KidMusicMed, a songwriting program for kids with cancer. Corley’s musical style is acoustic pop, folk, and jazz. Corley has shared the stage with great singer songwriters such as Janis Ian, and Cosy Sheridan.
